Casual Student Staff - Catering Team

Job Purpose
To ensure the success of day-to-day kitchen and events catering operations by preparing food to a consistently high standard while maintaining health and safety standards in the kitchen environment.

Accountabilities:

The key accountabilities of the post holder will be to:

  • Uphold food hygiene standards within the kitchen environment
  • Prepare and cook food to specification, ensuring consistent high standards

Responsibilities:

Cooking

  • To ensure all products are prepared to a high standard and to the specification provided in training, guidance, and customer preference
  • To follow food safety and hygiene protocols, including handling food safely, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, and adhering to health and safety guidelines.
  • To manage stock in line with stock rotation guidelines and management instruction advising management of any products running low

General

  • To observe and work within Health and Safety guidance as outlined in training 
  • To be flexible in approach and attitude to work and willing to undertake other duties as required
